The New York State Office of Cannabis Management announced the Cannabis Control Board has approved a new cannabis research license to study whether a cannabis-based medicine could provide meaningful, lasting relief for people living with chronic pain.

The New York State Cannabis Control Board advanced 14 cannabis licenses, including 11 adult-use licenses and three Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) licenses, bringing the statewide total to 2,351 licenses.
