The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is administering a USDA approved program to license hemp growers and seed sellers as authorized by New York State law and the Federal Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (Federal Farm Bill of 2018). The Department is accepting applications from individuals or businesses interested in growing hemp for fiber, grain, CBD, or other purposes.

Processors of cannabinoid hemp or cannabidiol (CBD) are now regulated by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management.  All inquiries related to those products should be addressed to [email protected] for response.
